VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the game, Western Storm Head Coach, Trevor Griffin said: “This is another opportunity for us to continue to put our learnings from the winter into practice before we get down to the real business of the season opener against Sunrisers on Saturday. Our pre-season has been hit by the weather again this year, so hopefully the players can get some overs into their legs on grass.

“We’ll be looking for batters to be clear on their plans and for everyone to be taking what they’ve learned over the winter when it comes to the way that we want to play.

“From a team news point of view unfortunately Emma Corney has a tear in her rotator cuff which means that she will be missing for several weeks.”

NEXT MATCH

Western Storm’s next match is on Saturday April 20th when we begin the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy campaign with a home game against Sunrisers at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.
