Lola and Imogen join Storm

Western Storm can today reveal that Lola Harris and Imogen Cooper have joined us on a pay-as-you-play basis.

17-year-old Lola made her way through the Somerset Player Pathway before joining the Western Storm Academy in 2021.

The Somerset leg spinner was named in the England Under 19 training squad ahead of their recent Tri-Series against Sri Lanka and Australia and was named as a non-traveling reserve for that T20 tournament.

Lola is currently studying for her A Levels.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time training with the seniors in pre-season,” she said. “I’ve found the challenge of stepping up exciting and I can’t wait for the season to start. My aim is to make the most of any opportunity to contribute.”

Imogen Cooper

Before joining the Western Storm Academy in 2022, Imogen worked her way through the Derbyshire County Age Group System.

The 22-year-old right-handed all-rounder is currently undertaking a masters degree in natural sciences at Exeter University.

Regarding the season ahead, she said: “I’m thrilled to have been given a contract for Western Storm this summer. I can’t wait contribute to the team’s success and make the most of this exciting opportunity.”
