VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Ahead of the match Head Coach, Mark O’Leary said: “There are a few former Western Storm players in the Sunrisers squad and we know a lot about them. At the end of the day though, it’s a new competition with a lot of new players.

“It was fantastic to have the England players for the first two matches. It was great to see them showcasing their talents and sharing their experience with the rest of the squad. Heather, Anya and Katie were fantastic, but now the rest of the squad have a great opportunity to express themselves and take this chance.

“The youngsters have learnt so much from those three both on and off the field. It would have been great to have the international players for the whole of the tournament, but it would have prevented some of the members of the squad from being exposed to cricket at this level.”
