Storm players star in the Big Bash

There have been some notable performances by Western Storm players in the Women’s Big Bash this weekend.

Heather Knight was in fine form with the bat and made 82 not out from 55 balls as the Hobart Hurricanes posted a total of 158 for six after being put in by Melbourne Stars. Unfortunately, Heather’s efforts were in vain as the Stars reached their required total to win a dramatic encounter by five wickets with just one ball to spare.

Not to be outdone, Heather then took three for 10 from her three overs to hand her side victory by 72 runs as the Stars were dismissed for 124.

Elsewhere, Rachel Priest and Stafanie Taylor helped Sydney Thunder to a 28 run win over Brisbane Heat.

Rachel made 49 from 28 balls as the Thunder posted an impressive total of 192 for four. She also claimed a stumping whilst three wickets for just 23 runs from Stafanie saw the Heat dismissed for 164.
