Western Storm to feature on Sky Sports
Western Storm will begin the defence of their KIA Super League title live on Sky Sports.
It was announced recently that Sky Sports will be showing 12 fixtures from this years KIA Super League starting with Western Storm’s opening match against Yorkshire Diamonds at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Following the publication of the television schedule Western Storm General Manager, Lisa Pagett said: “Following England’s World Cup success, the popularity of the women’s game is at an all-time high and this is reflected by Sky Sports’ commitment to showcasing the sport. We are all delighted that at least three of our matches will be broadcast live and I hope that the coverage will help to build interest in cricket and produce a new wave of Stormtroopers!”
The Storm will feature of Sky Sports on at least three occasions during the group stage of this year’s competition which will be bigger and better than ever before.
You can see Western Storm live on Sky on the following dates:
- Sunday July 22nd – Western Storm v Yorkshire Diamonds (Cooper Associates County Ground)
- Sunday July 29th – Western Storm v Loughborough Lightning (Cooper Associates County Ground)
- Wednesday August 15th – Loughborough Lightning v Western Storm (Edgbaston)
Sky will also show Kia Super League Finals Day from Hove on Monday August 27th
